A great eye exam is more than reading letters off a chart. At Deibert Eye Care & Facial Wellness, your comprehensive exam is a thorough look at your entire eye health—your vision, your eye structure, your risk factors, and your quality of life. We take our time, we use advanced technology, and we talk to you like a person—not a patient number.

Comprehensive Eye & Contact Lens Exams

Your eyes can reveal a surprising amount about your overall health. Beyond checking your prescription, a comprehensive exam at Deibert Eye Care & Facial Wellness assesses:

Vision is just the beginning.

What we look at

Visual acuity & refraction

Eye health evaluation

Glaucoma screening

Retinal evaluation

Dry eye assessment

Signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, and other conditions can show up in the eyes before anywhere else.

Systemic health clues

Your glasses or contact lens prescription, optimized for how you actually live and work.

Internal and external examination of your eyes for signs of disease, damage, or change.

Intraocular pressure measurement and optic nerve assessment to catch early warning signs.

A close look at the back of your eye for signs of retinal disease, macular changes, and more.

Tear film and ocular surface evaluation—because dry eye is often missed until it becomes a problem.

1. Welcome & Intake
We start by getting to know you. Your health history, any current symptoms, your lifestyle, and what matters most to you about your vision.

2. Preliminary Testing
Our team runs a series of pre-exam tests using advanced technology to gather detailed information about your eyes before you see Dr. Deibert.

3. Comprehensive Exam With Dr. Deibert
Dr. Deibert reviews your results, evaluates your vision and eye health, and takes the time to answer every questions you have.

4. Prescription & Next Steps
You leave with a clear understanding of your eye health, an updated prescription if needed, and a plan—whether that's eyewear, treatment, or just a follow-up schedule.

Here's what a typical exam looks like.

Who we see

Children
  • Early eye exams matter more than most parents realize. We check for vision problems that can affect learning, development, and confidence—and we're great with kids.
Adults
  • Annual exams keep your prescription current and give us a baseline to track your eye health over time. A lot can change year to year—we make sure nothing slips through.
Contact wearers
  • We'll make sure your lenses fit properly, feel comfortable, and work for your lifestyle—whether you're a first-timer or switching brands. Make sure to select our exam for contact wearers.
Seniors
  • The risk of conditions like cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye and glaucoma increases with age. We monitor closely and proactively so that if something changes, we catch it early.

Book Your Eye Exam Appointment

We know eye exams can feel like a checkbox. Ours aren't. We schedule enough time to do things properly, and Dr. Deibert stays in the room long enough to actually get to know your eyes—and you. Most of our patients have been coming to us for years, and that relationship is something we take seriously.

We accept most major vision and medical insurance plans. Not sure if you're covered? Give us a call—we're happy to check before your visit.

Unhurried. Thorough. Human.
